hny✨ + life update

I'm backkkkkkk

I’ve missed you guys - it’s been a while so much has happened…us usual.. obvs I'm not gonna write all of that here!

A day in the life with me must feel like a week in the life for someone else… that's ADHD for you.

Okay so what's been happening since I last blogged… in July.

My beaut daughters turned 22 & 20

It’s been great doing what I love in a gym I love - I've been blessed with the opportunity to work with some amazing clients, who've achieved not just physical but emotional transformations too… read what they’ve been saying here

I’m currently obsessed with Emily In Paris - as a typical neuro I've rewatched all 5 seasons… twice… so far! I did the same with Good Girls, I've watched it like 100 times over, I know exactly what’s gonna happen, before it happens and.. I'm cool with that.

Had an amazing Christmas with my kids, it was the best Christmas I've had since losing my Mum so I'm grateful for God's healing hands.

Back Alecia style training… but with a twist. more focus on intention. Coordinating the breath with movement has been a game changer, something I work on with my clients too.

(although i won’t lie I miss just training - just getting lost in the movement and allowing my body to move how it chooses - I do allow myself to do that too because… balance right?!)

Literal favourite piece of equipment in the gym at the moment is the landmine its been great for helping to strengthen my shoulders along with mobility.

The most I’ve run is 5k in under 30 mins which I'm pleased with tbh i’ve not been wearing my Garmin much (shock alert) I just feel like it keeps my brain switched on which nobody needs more of.

I'm loosely tracking my steps on my phone, and have been running, walking or doing cardio in the gym - keeping it pressure free and full of joy and that’s working for me rn.

With that being said I do have some goals for this year:

  • Robin Hood Marathon - September (new PB in mind) I am thinking of rallying up a Iamfittness community (well my client suggested it) to run it together, so if you’re interested keep your eyes peeled for future info.

  • Build some serious strength in the gym - (im talking pull up strength)

  • There's something in the back of my mind I'd like to do but I'm not sure this year is the right time.

Oh yes I failed to mention earlier I turned 42 in November, It’s fine. My son asked me this morning if I felt my age as I bent down to pick something up and my knees clicked… I was like “I was like nope” 😳

I went to a really cool shop in Matlock called Run Forest Run - a member at the gym recommended it and my visit did not disappoint!

I walked away with the right pair of trainers for my gait a size and a half bigger than i was wearing too.. But hey ... .Mike knows his stuff so I didn't argue.

January hasn't been to rough for me and i hope it hasn’t for you either, it is dragging a bit now though, but lets continue to make every day count

Until next time busy brains x
